Alexandra Adelman, MD

Sports Medicine Fellow

Where are you from?

I was born in Chicago, raised in South Florida, went to University in Michigan, medical school in Israel, and residency in Connecticut. You might say I’m a bit of a nomad!

Why did you choose UA Sports Medicine?

I chose UA to attain a comprehensive education. I am looking forward to working with a wide range of athletes ranging from professional and division 1 elite athletes to weekend warriors. I was also enticed by the opportunity to learn ultrasound guided diagnostics and procedures.

What are you most excited about for life in Tucson?

I am super excited to say goodbye to cold winters and hello to sunshine!

What are your interests or hobbies outside of Medicine?

I enjoy skiing, hiking, and watching collegiate and professional sports. I’m also a foodie that loves to cook fancy meals and restaurant hop.

What are your professional interests within Medicine?

I am interested in helping to advance the field of sports medicine through comprehensive medical care, advanced ultrasound guided procedures, and research. I am currently especially interested in working with elite athletes.

Favorite way to spend a day off?

A good brunch, lots of cuddles with my dogs, and an outdoor adventure with my husband (bonus points if I get some sun!).
