Why did you choose UA Sports Medicine?    

UA sports med has a large variety of sports medicine coverage, combination of general sports medicine clinics, training room, and athlete specific sports clinics, and great faculty from a variety of backgrounds with different skills and sports med practice types. Working as an emergency medicine attending at two different busy emergency departments is also a great plus.

What are you most excited about for life in Tucson?    

Becoming a new dad- baby girl coming November! Seeing my wife finish her small animal emergency medicine veterinary training. Continue exploring the desert and mountains.

What are your interests or hobbies outside of Medicine?    

All the endurance and mountain sports: Cycling, skiing, paragliding, climbing, trail running, surfing, whitewater, diving, backpacking, and travelling.

What are your professional interests within Medicine?     

Endurance and mountain sports medicine; wilderness medicine; emergency medicine

Favorite way to spend a day off?    

Multisport day with friends: ride up the mountain to ski tour, then ride back down, climb, and then go paddle or ride followed by a large burrito.
